Praying for Your Future Husband

My apologies for not writing for so long! This post has been on my mind for a long time, but I think this particular one will just be about a book. Prayer is a subject that I don't feel the most qualified to talk about, and it's challenging for me to open up and put my own story out there for the whole world to read (if it chose too). Soooo, praying for your future husband. This was a rather familiar idea for me, as it seems like I've prayed off and on throughout my whole life for my future husband. However, after reading Preparing, my eyes were opened to the power and the importance of prayer. (That book changed my life! To read more about it click here.) So I started praying more faithfully and I started praying for HIM, not just for God to hand me a perfect guy. ;) Then a few months ago I read a book called Praying for Your Future Husband by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer.

This is a fabulous book and I highly recommend it! The two ladies that wrote this book share their own stories that come from opposite ends of the spectrum. There are testimonies from other women about how prayer influenced their lives and their husbands' lives. They talk about different things to pray for: his heart, strength, commitment, and several others. Something they said in the book that I have found to be so true is that when you pray for other people, you are changed too. They give examples of things to pray for for yourself, things like an understanding heart and patience. It was an enjoyable read, encouraging and practical! I am so glad I found this book :) If you haven't read this book yet and it applies to you I would definitely encourage you to read it!
If you have read it before, or after you read it I'd love to read your thoughts on the book. :)
